MTV’s new “reality” show ‘The Youth Electric’ is a must-watch for anyone who lives in Vancouver. It’s such an unspeakably awful and cringe-inducing piece of advertainment that it could very well be passed off as clever satire. But as far as I can tell it’s definitely not taking the piss and is meant to be taken seriously.
It’s the 21st century equivalent of a botched public hanging - a human disaster that aspirational teens and unshaven misanthropes can enjoy alike.
I grit my teeth everytime the commercial for this show comes on…
